Bergbahnen Sörenberg

Sörenberg lies in the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch and is a highlight for families and nature-lovers alike

Scenic Rossweid, for example, can be reached by aerial gondola from the village of Sörenberg. The Mooarculum, the Alps' largest moorland world of adventure, is dotted with information points explaining the ins and outs of moorland environments.

Visitors reaching the summit of the Brienzer Rothorn (alt. 2350 m) are treated to breathtaking 360° views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and 690 other peaks. The aerial cableway from Sörenberg runs all year round, while the cog steam railway takes you to the summit from Brienz during the summer months. What is arguably the loveliest trail between Lucerne and Interlaken takes walkers right past the Brienzer Rothorn.

In winter groomed footpaths and a sledging run from the Rossweid offer a tranquil alternative to the hustle-and-bustle of the ski slopes. Winter views from the Brienzer Rothorn are just as spectacular as in the summer.
