Sonnenbergbahn
The Sonnenberg (700 m above sea level) is the ""small"" local mountain to the north of Kriens and lives up to its name with its southern exposure. From the center of Kriens, the over 100-year-old nostalgic railroad leads up to the Sonnenberg, where visitors can enjoy a wide range of leisure activities including a fitness trail, children's playgrounds, walking paths and many fireplaces. In the midst of fascinating and largely untouched nature, you can enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the mountains, Lake Lucerne, Kriens and the greater Lucerne area.
