Tell Pass becomes the Lucerne Travel Pass

A new name and a fresh design for the popular Central Switzerland Ticket.

The Lucerne Travel Pass will replace the tried-and-tested Tell Pass on April 1, 2026, with a new name and a fresh look. It allows unlimited travel by train, bus, boat, and numerous mountain railways throughout Central Switzerland – with flexible options for 3, 4, 5, or 10 consecutive days. The new offer is valid all year round and is available both online and at sales outlets.

All information about the Lucerne Travel Pass can be found on the new website: www.lucernetravelpass.ch

The Lucerne Travel Pass is the regional excursion ticket for Central Switzerland. Around 60 transport companies participate in the Lucerne Travel Pass route network in summer. The most important tourist routes in Central Switzerland are included. The pass entitles you to unlimited travel on the route network for 3 to 10 days.

The route network covered by the Lucerne Travel Pass for the 2026/27 season is available on the new website lucernetravelpass.ch and can also be downloaded.

The unique route network in Central Switzerland will remain unchanged with the Lucerne Travel Pass. However, there will no longer be a distinction between summer and winter prices; one price will apply throughout the year. In addition, the offer will now focus on 3-, 4-, 5-, and 10-day passes. The 2-day pass will be discontinued.

The Tell Pass will start its last winter season on November 1, 2025 (November 1, 2025–March 31, 2026). At the same time, the new Lucerne Travel Pass will already be available for booking for the 2026 summer season. Therefore, both passes will be available in parallel during the transition period from November 1, 2025, to March 30, 2026.

From November 1, 2026, visitors to Central Switzerland will find a wide range of contact options and expert advice seven days a week on the lucernetravelpass.ch website.
